Conference in Wageningen (April 8–10\, 2025)\, organized under the AI4SoilHealth initiative. The event brought together scientists\, practitioners\, and policymakers to explore how AI\, remote sensing\, and data-driven tools are transforming soil monitoring and sustainable land management.​ \n\n\n\nHighlights included keynote sessions\, inspiring talks\, and interactive workshops showcasing innovative approaches to soil health. The collaborative spirit and exchange of ideas were truly inspiring.​ \n\n\n\nGrateful to the organizers and all participants for making this event a success. We are looking forward to applying these insights in our SPIN-FERT project.​ \n\n\n\nLoredana Canfora\, CREA \n\n\n\nI had the pleasure of presenting our work during the demo session—an exciting and exclusive showcase dedicated to portable and lab-independent devices! It was a fantastic opportunity to share our results on a portable system for on-field\, real-time detection of B. subtilis in soil. The presentation sparked interest from several attendees\, who asked some really insightful questions. One even said\, “I knew nothing about aptamers before your presentation!” (That was awesome to hear)
