The Lublin Science Picnic took place on 20 September 2026 at Plac Litewski as one of the main public events of the 22nd Lublin Science Festival. The programme offered more than 120 projects and interactive activities for children, young people, families and other visitors.
IA-PAS presented the activity “Plant holobiont, soil microbiome, microgreens – what are they?”, introducing visitors to soil and plant microorganisms and explicitly connecting the research with the Horizon Europe projects LEGUMINOSE and SPIN-FERT.
IA-PAS also presented “What is hidden in soil?”, while Prof. Magdalena Frąc delivered a main-stage lecture on the invisible world of soil and the microbiome. For SPIN-FERT, the Picnic provided direct public dissemination of project-related research in an accessible, hands-on format.
