On Friday, September 25, 2026, the Research Area of Rome 1 of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-ARRM1) in Montelibretti opened its doors to the public for the European Researchers’ Night within the framework of the European project The 24th Science Festival “Science with the Palace in the Background” took place on 19–20 September 2026 at the Palace in Jabłonna near Warsaw.
IA-PAS participated on 19 September with four public science activities. One of them, “Plant holobiont, soil microbiome, microgreens – what are they?”, introduced visitors to microorganisms associated with soils and plants and explained why microbiomes matter for plant health, soil functioning and sustainable agriculture.
The soil microbiome and plant holobiont demonstration communicated scientific themes closely connected with SPIN-FERT and helped translate microbiome-based horticultural research into accessible public science.
