58th Microbiological Conference – “Innovations in Microbiology and Biotechnology”

On Friday, September 25, 2026, the Research Area of Rome 1 of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-ARRM1) in Montelibretti opened its doors to the public for the European Researchers’ Night within the framework of the European project The 58th National Microbiological Conference “Innovations in Microbiology and Biotechnology” took place on 16–18 September 2026 in Stare Jabłonki near Olsztyn. More than 100 scientists from 21 research institutions participated in plenary lectures, oral presentations, short talks and poster sessions.
The conference addressed soil and plant microbiomes, microbial biodiversity, bioremediation, biofertilisers, plant–microbe interactions and sustainable agricultural applications. Prof. Magdalena Frąc from IA-PAS was among the invited plenary speakers.
The meeting provided a specialist setting for exchange around scientific themes closely connected with SPIN-FERT and supported networking around beneficial microorganisms and biotechnology for sustainable agriculture.
