The 20th International Symposium on Microbial Ecology took place on 16–21 August 2026 at the New Zealand International Convention Centre in Auckland. The symposium brought together 1,934 delegates from 62 countries and is one of the major international meetings in microbial ecology.
IA-PAS presented SPIN-FERT results in the poster “Seeds mycobiome and entomopathogenic fungi as components of microbiome-based strategies for sustainable agriculture.” The contribution explored fungal communities associated with seeds and the potential role of entomopathogenic fungi in microbiome-based approaches for more sustainable crop production.
For SPIN-FERT, the presentation provided international scientific visibility and exchange with researchers working on plant and soil microbiomes, microbial interactions and climate-resilient agriculture.
